AnaLise “Bean” Matheson, Co-Founder

Bean Matheson brings more than twenty years of experience across Medicare, long-term care, retirement planning, estate strategies, life and health insurance, and living benefits. Licensed in Utah, Idaho, and Arizona, she blends deep insurance expertise with hands-on understanding of the medical system, having spent years navigating pre-authorizations, denials, and complex revenue cycles. This gives her clients a level of insight and guidance that goes far beyond “standard” insurance advice.

Her foundation in this field began early. Bean’s father spent over 30 years as an insurance agent and financial planner—a lifetime MDRT member, CLU, ChFC, and multi-licensed professional who built his career on helping families create financial stability. Bean’s first “job” was putting address labels on his mailers for a nickel apiece, unknowingly stepping into a legacy she would one day elevate.

Today, Bean is known for her straight-forward, empathetic approach and her ability to turn complicated systems into clear, confident decisions. Whether helping a family prepare for retirement, evaluate long-term care options, establish an estate plan, or navigate Medicare, her mission is the same: empower people to protect what matters most and secure the futures they’re building.

Captain Alan Matheson (Ret.), Co-Founder

Captain Alan Matheson (Ret.) spent his career in the fire service—leading crews, protecting communities, and living the demanding reality that defines the first responder world. His leadership, work ethic, and commitment to service shape the values behind Hold the Line Insurance.

After an abrupt medical retirement, Alan experienced firsthand how overwhelming benefits, Medicare decisions, and long-term planning can become. That transition made something very clear: once first responders leave the department—whether expected or not—they often lose the structured support and guidance they relied on throughout their careers.

Seeing this gap, Alan became dedicated to ensuring others don’t face that process alone. His lived experience gives Hold the Line Insurance its backbone—practical insight, real understanding, and a commitment to serving those who have served their communities.

Alan’s perspective strengthens every part of the company’s mission: making sure families, first responders or otherwise, receive clear direction, real options, and a plan that protects their future.
